The right likes big government socialism when Trump does it, but not when Biden does it. Talk about total hypocrisy.

Don’t worry. It will get a lot worse before it gets even worse!

Current government has two options:
1. default in December and right off its debt
2. write off its debt via hyper inflation.

I got into a discussion with him about the current economic situation as he's quite business savvy and he basically says we are damned if we do, damned if we don't as far as QE goes. If the Federal Reserve stopped buying bonds interest rates would quickly shoot up to 10% or more. High interest rates can cause high inflation when they go on for long enough. He kind of explained the reasoning behind it.

On the other hand if we keep way overspending more money than tax revenue brings in it will cause the same result. Basically we've been living on borrowed time since basically 2008 and an adjustment to wipe away excess debt is needed and is here, whether we like it or not, and no matter what we do.

It could be managed. Start draining the pond so to speak of excess liquidity. Stop stimulus payments, end rent and student loan moratoriums, gradually increase interest rates. Taper off all bond buying by the Fed. Let weak companies that are heavily indebted fail. Clean out the excesses of the system.

However, there are exactly 0 politicians with the stones to do it, so the best you can do is diversify and hedge against the inevitable shock that tips it over the edge.

MMT- 'Modern Monetary Theory '

Or as I like to call it, 'Magic Money Tree,' or 'Maduro-Mugabe Theory.'
