The U.S. is a decade or more behind in missile technology.
Kind of dumb to seek vengeance when you can't back it up.
The U.S. couldn't defeat the Taliban, what makes the U.S. Gov think it can take on Russia?
It's laughably absurd.
Taliban isn't a nation though. The more terrorists you kill, the more you create. They're also our part-time allies interestingly. Also, the terrain in Afghanistan makes it tough to fight them.
But that's a completely different reason.
Russia on the other hand is like lighting the match to kill your enemy but you are both wading in the same pool of gasoline.
Refuse to from a euro army of any significance to fund their socialism as they rely on US blood and treasure to defend them.
Six months after the crisis, they will gather in Bruge and issue a statement of indignation..... then capitulate!
Hope they all send christmas cards to Biden for making this all possible by financing Putin's pipeline and boosting Putin's economy.
Wow, it took 43 posts for someone to write what I was thinking while reading the first 42.
I'm tired of defending Europe for free. Some of those countries don't even pay their NATO dues, or live up to the agreements to fund their own militaries.
Pay up, pay us, or learn to speak Russian! America's $29T in debt...we're flat broke, so you are on your own now.

They can deal with their own mess jess. Sick of this country breaking other countries and never winner a war.
We could have rebuilt our roads and bridges with all the money blown on Bush 1 and 2's 3 failed wars.

I’m no Russia expert nor foreign policy expert but if it was me I would have moved some military hardware and troops into Ukraine before I did the first Zoom call to the Russians. Something that would have made Putins head explode. Either that or just completely ignore the situation. Now we look weak and there’s nothing we can do. Putin won again. Nice job Biden:

Congratulations.
It has been demonstrated several times since the days of JFK that Russia has been faking it. Reagan pointed that out, was doubted and went on to prove it. Then Russian made tanks were being hit by American tanks that could not even been seen. Russian this/Russian that. They will probably make short work of Ukraine but are incapable of taking on a real opponent.
Their one carrier does not work well, their submarines are constantly in trouble and they have probably not maintained their nuclear arsenal properly. They would only get one shot, anyway.
Fire when ready, Rooskies.
They both failed and died.
Seems kinda stupid to me. anyway:
Build a pipeline to Europe so that you can sell them natural gas, and then point missiles at them.
