The CEOs of two of America’s biggest airlines said on Wednesday they do not think masks should be required on planes any longer – even as new cases of the Omicron variant spread across the nation.

At a Senate hearing about the financial support airlines received in 2020 and 2021, Sen. Roger Wicker, the ranking Republican on the Senate committee, asked American Airlines CEO Doug Parker and Southwest CEO Gary Kelly their thoughts on the federal government’s mask mandate for flying.

‘I think the case is very strong that masks don’t add very much, if anything, in the air cabin environment,’ Kelly said. ‘It is very safe and very high quality compared to any other indoor setting.’

Nice try by the airline CEOs. However, masks on airplanes aren't going away until Trump replaces Biden in 2024. The Democrats won't give up their binkies willingly.

No doubt. They will just keep on extending the mask wearing on airplanes. I can only speak from personal opinion but I hate wearing the dam things. At a certain point you accept the risks.

Oh my God!

Get a rope. The careers of these CEOs are over. They won't even be able to get jobs cleaning toilets in a Covid Camp.

And the irony is that they have no benefit and likely cause long-term harm.

I hope you haven't tried spreading this "misinformation" on Marxist media like facebook and twitter.

Hmm…. I thought, private businesses are free to do as they please within their internal policies… like reastaurangs can impose their own mandates? What’s the difference?

That would be wonderful! I could go back to flying again. A simple negative Covid test would be so much more valuable anyway.

You only hear that from liberals when it works to deprive people of their individual liberty and freedom.

Considering the airlines were the first to slap the mandates on, this is pretty astounding.
