If everyone were vaccinated, our hospitals wouldn't be overrun. Again, that's why we need to shut down again, to protect our healthcare system from the unvaccinated, who overwhelmingly end up needing serious medical care when they get covid.
Keep pushing nonsense - our hospitals in NY are not overrun with Covid - vaccinated or unvaccinated - but due to lack of nursing home beds - lack of staff due to vaccine mandates, people being admitted for medical problems that weren't addressed the past 2 yrs because of all the Covid nonsense ect. Of 552 beds in our main trauma hospital - only 68 are Covid cases but the news and politicians jump on the bandwagon continuing to scare everyone with the " Covid is overwhelming hospitals" Right now over 50% of the Covid cases in that hospital are vaccinated people. Many of which didn't even know they had Covid until they came to the hospital for another problem.
People quit having the wool pulled over your eyes - it's getting old explaining things to you time and time again that is readily available on the net for all to see. Do your own investigation instead of copying and pasting faux news reports.
Vaccines are dramatically lowering hospitalizations and deaths rates. It's impossible to say they aren't working.
Again, the vaccinated ONLY have to shut down to protect the non vaccinated from getting covid and overwhelming hospitals.
In post #66 you stated hospitals are overrun. Here, only three posts later you state hospitalizations are dramatically lowered. Are you listening to yourself? Which is it?
Most of the hospitalized are unvaccinated but I do agree that shutting down isn’t really necessary. Everyone has made their choice regarding the vaccine at this point.
Nearly everyone dying or hospitalizeddue to covid are unvaccinated. This would be a non-issue if everyone just got the vaccine. Yes, places still need to shut down to protect the unvaccinated from getting covid and clogging our healthcare system. That wouldn't need to happen if they were vaccinated.

Before idiots started massaging the definition of a vaccine it meant mostly immunity. if you can still catch and transmit a virus, a vaccine becomes mostly pointless. I agree vaccines worked prior to Dr Faucis man made virus.

full disclosure: Ive had covid, did not go to hospital or anything, my case was mild. I wanted natural immunity over the vax anyhow.
This is exactly it. It's the vaccinated who are getting sick and spreading. New York is a perfect example. How can you blame the unvaccinated for an outbreak when everyone has been vaccine mandated? This is the question that is always deflected. No one ever answers except to blame the unvaccinated who aren't even in the room.

People aren’t moving out of NY state. NYC maybe, but not upstate. Houses here have multiple bids within days of listing.
I suspect the same is true for CA, given the high prices there. If there really is a mass exodus from CA, then why does a run-down shack there cost a half million?
They're moving out of upstate, but they're being replaced by New York City folks, fleeing the even MORE draconian mandates downstate.
You suspicions about CA are off base as well. The cost of housing has zero to do with CA folks fleeing that disaster of a state.
Omicron is our way out of this. It's easily transmissible and has shown to be a much milder version.
