Having all those young, extremely healthy athletes contract a now much less lethal variant that may give them sniffles for 24 hours is just a risk we cannot take.
We all need to run and hide in our basements for 2 decades to slow the spread.

Or we can go to work every day and out like usual with precautions. Hey let's start with staying home if you are sick and not breathing in my face.
We probably have another week before omicron hits hard. Maybe we get to Christmas but travel will spread it quickly. After that the NFL season is toast. If omicron hits and quits fast, then they might be able to restart in February with playoffs in March.
Agreed...concerned about Omicron even though we have the shots and boosters (only two shots not very effective with this variant...booster helps a lot)...hitting Europe hard now according to this also and spreading worldwide rapidly. https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsan...se-for-the-u-s
And practically NONE of these players are at risk of anything but Cold symptoms or NO symptoms. What a freaking joke the NFL has become.
What do you think this guy would say if he was still around?
Americans play to win all the time! That was then....this is now. Now we are afraid of our own shadows.

That would be fine... if the players were the only ones to worry about. I am more concerned with who these players would come into contact with that are not in as great shape as they are. Andy Reid, for starters. But also support staff at the team facilities and stadiums, refs, photogs on the sidelines, etc. It's not just the players that the NFL is worried about
Hope the OP gets to enjoy the game. But afterwards I suggest staying away from NFL, NBA, etc. It is extremely weird that grown men spend time and money watching other men who get paid millions, chase a ball. Go do something yourself, be a man.
