Great site for data. Can compared rates for vax vs unvax and look at variants etc. Updates every week

Couldn't find any variant info in your first link but the second one had info..thank you.

So 3% nationwide and 13% in NY/NJ. That means 87% of cases are still Delta.
And that means all these mayors and governors are misleading people thinking it's Omicron causing the surge.

The vaccine has worn off...that we know and have been told.
There's been no message about boosters wearing off (they are the same as the original shots).

I went and took a look at Israel who is about 3 months ahead of us on surges/shot recommendations.
They are seeing more Omicron now and are predicting another wave.

Looks like the boosters were not as effective as Pfizer predicted for Omicron.

December 1 news was: the booster works
December 19 news: preparing for another surge

https://www.usnews.com/news/world/ar...icron-red-list
Israel is in the midst of a fifth COVID-19 wave due to the Omicron variant, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said on Sunday, urging citizens to step up vaccination and to take precautions such as working from home

Two weeks to flatten the curve will take care of it.

Mask mandate will take care of it.

Contact tracing will take care of it.

Testing everyone a billion times will take care of it.

Vaccine will take care of it.

Boosters will take care of it.

Oh there's another variant.

Oh there's another other variant.

Boosters will take care of it.

More testing everyone a billion times will take care of it.

Let's get more mandates in place since they worked the first time {UH...NO THEY DID NOT}

Meanwhile, it's not the deathly pandemic that was promoted to us, that everyone was going to die. We're still here.

There are those who still believe everything that the MSM and alphabet agencies tell them. No questions. Just pure and complete adoring belief.

That's not science. That's religion.

AGAIN: If it were as deadly as they PRETEND... we'd all be dead and unable to argue about it.

Your surmise is in no way derived from factual evidence as any number of places previously under heavier restrictions and currently undergoing a rise in cases are not moving back to strict lockdowns or even maintaining existing lockdowns.

Your irrational fear is misplaced.

Just saw this posted in the CT forum regarding a CT state college. Remember, they all have to be up to date with boosters as well.

All students have to take a PCR test 3-7 days before January 18 and get a negative result. They will be given a specific one hour window to return that day in which during that hour they go present their test to security, then take ANOTHER PCR test at the school before going to their dorm where they will get a special wristband they have to wear for three days (he thinks for those 3 days they are going to have to stay in their dorms and have remote classes but he's not sure, I think the wristband means they DON'T have to do that because they turned in a recent negative test).

WTF???

When will parents and kids SAY NO?

This would not fly in FL. No way.

So basically being vaccinated with 3 shots means nothing.

The vaccines aren't working and what they are doing is blaming surges on the "variant du jour" as the cause.

Your daughter can have dinner in NYC, just tell her to get vaccinated.
Try this. You can buy food, as long as you snort cocaine first. If you don't snort cocaine, you won't be allowed to buy food. Sounds fair, right?

The solution is what we have been saying. Move on. Covid, just like the flu and the common cold, will be here forever. Do what works for you and let others do what works for them.

It's time to end the madness and move on with normal life. It's really not hard to understand.

What I'm curious about, they are pushing boosters like crazy right now for Omi. It's starting to look like the boosters aren't all that effective against it. What if Pfizer and/or Moderna magically get edited Omi-specific vaccines rolled out soon. Won't all these newly boostered folks be ineligible for at least 4-6 months because they just topped up on a dud?

People are testing like they're insane - testing with zero symptoms and only testing because they've been in contact with someone who's tested positive. And in most cases that I know of personally, the positive person has ZERO symptoms. (This is particular to NYC.)

These are fully vaccinated people - some are even boosted.

It's lunacy. NYC is have a surge - it's a pandemic of the vaccinated and not sick.

But let's shut down businesses and cause financial hardship over literally NOTHING

Idiots.

So learning to live with the virus means to avoid testing, let people that test positive just mingle and wait for a spike in hospitalizations. Do nothing and just wait for hospitals to fill up and then what, that's not much of a plan.

Once again for the millionth time the unvaccinated are the ones driving the surge in hospital beds, but keep on claiming it's the vaccinated but facts aren't on your side.

Every medical expert in every country is predicting a surge that will overwhelm hospitals, it's foolish to believe that the best course of action is to make believe nothing will change. All these shutdowns of shows and businesses are by the owners, no one is going to attend these events with a 10% positivity rate.

Vaccines work -- just talk to healthcare workers in Guam. [sarcasm]

[Guam] ran an incredibly successful vaccination campaign, with almost 90% of eligible people having received two doses, and even began offering jabs to tourists in an “Air VnV” – vacation and vaccination – scheme.

But tents have been installed to accommodate an overflow of Covid patients at the hospital as the territory grapples with a third wave of the virus, with daily deaths reaching the highest rates since March 2020.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/20...th-covid-surge

Guam has a pop of 160,000, so 144,000 have 2 shots. Which leaves just 16,000 with 1 shot or no shots and those who cannot be vaccinated for medical reasons or are too young to be vaccinated. They do not make a distinction between no shots or 1 shot.

Yet surging cases. And 40% of those hospitalized have been 'fully vaccinated.'

Are you saying the vaccinated are infecting the unvaccinated or vice-versa? Since both groups routinely get and spread Covid at this point I guess it is both driving the surge in infections.
