I really have no idea how any politician who talks about implementing a vaccine passport can be taken seriously any longer.

Quote:
Mayor Lori Lightfoot said in a statement. "New steps must be taken to protect the health and wellbeing of our residents. This public health order requiring proof of vaccination to visit certain indoor public places is a necessary measure to ensure we can continue to enjoy our city's many amenities as we enter the new year."
The city has record levels of crime and shootings and this is what they chose to protect the wellbeing of their residents. The sad thing is that to her it probably makes total sense.

These people think COVID is such a health issue and this is needed to protect people that they are not going to implement it until January 3rd. Because of course, COVID has taken a 2-week vacation for the holidays. Oh, and yes you can go into an included business for 10 minutes to order take-out because COVID only goes after people who actually sit down in an establishment.

But these are perhaps the best "exemptions" I have seen yet.
Quote:
• A nonresident performing artist who does not regularly perform or render services
in a covered location, or a nonresident individual accompanying such a performing
artist, while the performing artist or individual is in a covered location for the
purposes of such artist’s performance;
• A nonresident professional athlete or a nonresident individual accompanying such
professional athlete, who enters a covered location as part of their regular
employment for purposes of the professional athlete/sports team competition;
Yea...and it's all about Health and Safety

^LOL agreed. Clowns are truly running the show. Especially the part about it starting January 3rd; Philly is doing the same thing. I thought COVID was the most urgent and important thing in the world? Why wait?

IL has had a mask mandate for months. People are pretty good at adhering to it, particularly when looting.

And how many times has Lori Lightfoot been out in crowds without a mask on? Maybe it's a height thing. She might think that since she's three feet away from other people's mouths when she's standing right next to them, she won't catch anything.

I can see it now... stack of bodies... perp apprehended... police looks at perp...

"Can you show proof of vaccination?"

"Damn straight, homes." (shows vax passport)

"Alrightie. You have a nice day now. And try to keep yourself out of trouble."
