Buy a teddy bear. It doesn't ****, it doesn't eat, it doesn't bite, and it doesn't annoy others around it.

The crackdown on these animals, that are doing a service to their owners, is
distressing to me.

How the heck is something like a well-behaved, miniature Emotional-Enjoyment-Pony
causing harm to people........they are NOT.

Maybe the lawmakers should examine their own failings. ESA legislation was a bad idea from the start. I remember the first time I heard about "emotional support" animals status. It was ridiculous and the fraud predictable.

It is so common now days to see dogs drooling on the produce at the supermarket. I remember visiting California and eating on the patio of a really nice restaurant. The dog next to us chose to take a dump feet away from me just as our appetizer arrived. Not even a reaction from the owners. Dogs don't belong EVERYWHERE.

Yeah this is hard to police. Largely because stores are in a bad spot of having the stores be subject to lawsuits due to the ADA if they throw someone out for a fake ESA. I don't like it, but stores are in a bind.

Yeah, if you ask to see a dog's ID it will call you a racist. Maybe a breedist.

Well it isn't just that, the ADA law decrees that if an animal is declared a service animal, you cannot ask most questions. You are limited to "What does the animal do for you?" type questions.

Do you have a source for this? Everything I can find says miniature horses can still be used as service animals.

ESAs are not covered by the ADA. They might be covered by state-specific legislation, but that is it.
