So people are now alarmed about people who have the equivalent of a cold passing on that "cold" to other people?
IF that is the case, I guess much of the U.S. population ARE a bunch of wimps. NOT that colds are pleasant things -- I hate them (and for some seriously ill people, a cold might be a death sentence) -- but would anyone actually wish death on someone who gave them a cold?

I don't believe the stories, either. If you chose not to be vaccinated, wound up contracting a bad case of Covid and landed in the ER, you would be asking for *treatments* like monoclonal antibodies, not a vaccination.
It would be great if we actually had a vaccine. All we have is a therapeutic, which only lessens symptoms, and does not prevent infection or transmission of the virus. We have nothing in the form of medicine or treatments which prevent transmission or infection.
What about the ones who are responsible for raising her. You know, the parents. Where are they?
They are doing the absolute best they can considering that both of them have hearing, and did not know ASL or anything about deafness for that matter prior to her birth. Deafness requires skilled care and education. Were you aware of that? It’s a major disability.
According to the countries which were the first to encounter Omicron, they said it is mild, and that it's extremely rare for a person to die from it. This is why all our government does is hype positive test results, not deaths. It's also why they count the number of patients in hospitals who tested positive with COVID, allowing the public to believe they entered the hospital because of COVID. Most people with Omicron are asymptomatic, or only show signs of the sniffles and a soar throat.
I'd love to get accurate news about this virus, but it's impossible when governments and the majority of news media are all pushing a fear-porn agenda, and refuse to give the people honest, unbiased information.
Maybe Omricon "mimics" the common cold because it is the common cold.

well, we should test for the common cold, and quarantine people who test positive, and we could "shut down" that virus as well. Does anyone think that would work?
Same. Everyone in my entire extended family is vaccinated. That's parents, siblings, their children, their spouses, their spouses' parents, their spouses' siblings... etc. Zero bad reactions. I also have a large friend group who have gotten their vaccines and have had their kids vaccinated. Again, absolutely nothing other than a fever for a day, a sore arm, a swollen lymph node.
I know a handful of people who have died from covid, and a bigger handful of people who were hospitalized. I know one person who survived the vent, and he says he's getting vaccinated the second he's approved to do so safely. Never ever wants to go through that again. He also insisted that his wife and children get vaccinated immediately.
I know zero people who regret getting the vaccine, and again, the vast majority of people I interact with have gotten the vax series plus their boosters.
So strange that these posters know of all these vaccine-related deaths. Almost like they read a story with zero proof on social media and posted about it as though they know the person.
Oh yes the "Well I don't know anyone so it must not have happened" comment.
Based on your comment not going to post any links, where unless you want to believe that the COVID vaccines are the first vaccine or treatment that has zero side effects with 100% of the population then continue to live in that world. But think that even if just 0.01% of the people had a severe reaction or died from the vaccine, in the US alone that is around 20,000 people. Would those people just be sacrificial lambs for the "greater good"?
But if you and every single person you know wants to get the latest monthly booster for the rest of your lives....no one is stopping you.

I don't carry anyone's water. The deaths and hospitalizations are not rising in concert with case numbers. The number of new cases is admittedly off the charts. Deaths are not.
So, just to be clear, you and OP are okay with almost 2,000 deaths per day from Covid, now and going forward?
