What about just hiring back the ones who didn’t get vaccinated, because this is just plain insane.

Maybe they just want to get this over with rather than dragging it out for twenty years.

Tens of millions don’t get paid if they don’t work. And many jobs can’t be performed remotely. And many show for work regardless of symptoms, not limited to Covid, as they always have.

In contrast, no shortage of employers have temporarily expanded their sick leave policies to accommodate Covid. We will never know how many have milked Covid for all its worth including using exposure to someone who tested positive for paid time off.

Not buying that right before the holiday, employees of commercial airliners across the globe suddenly got sick.
Think it’s likely we will see similar stunts at the public services level.

The DMV in my state closed mid November- 12/7. Due to Covid. It’s now closed again for 2 weeks. Employees are being paid and time accrued to pensions.

Have a family member who works at a retail franchise, that makes fancy cakes. No employee benefits. Employees were told in advance if they got the business through year end, everyone gets a huge cash bonus. According to family member, most worked despite being sick with flu or Covid or something else. A few were so sick in the back of the house, fainting was common. Owner handed out the cash bonuses at 7:00 PM on 12/31.

Today, said family member was the only one who showed. Owner is also sick. Business could not open. And family member does not get paid. She will look for another job and likely be employed elsewhere, tomorrow.

MY old doctor did the same thing. 3 days a week he worked 2 to 10P.

Why?

"Because if I dont have hours after 4 or 5 in the evening, many of my patients are not willing to take time off to see me."

Great human now involved in doing charity for Haiti.
