Were you witness to any of these protests or arrests? Is that how you know so much about it? Hundreds of thousands of nyers protested and saw with their own eyes what was going on. This was something families and teens and just about every demographic either participated or if they didnt, they knew many who did. 95% was peaceful- but some did get criminal and there was looting and some incidence of firebombing. We all knew of people who got arrested in a sweep even if they were peaceful. It was hard to not know someone who was effected in some way. So it is personal.
How do you know better than the people that were there? Is it because you saw it on YouTube.
Okay, so how many people of the apparent masses of arrests that went unseen by the MSM and Social Media were actually charged? How many convicted or pled guilty? How many did ANY jail time?
Now, let's compare that to this woman with her 5-year-old whose only crime was apparently attempting to eat inside a restaurant without proof of vaccination from a "Mandate" put in place by a lame-duck mayor. She had a half-dozen officers ready to escort her off the property. Do you think if she pushed it the DA would have just let her go and not go through with prosecuting her for trespassing? They couldn't 'she would have to be charged to show the masses that the government means business and is going to enforce this policy. If she was allowed to walk away totally unpunished it might lead others to no longer comply.
NYC has become a city of mentally ill fascists. They have no problem co-habitating with rats and cockroaches and walking through urine, feces, and used needles, but won't share air space with someone who isn't vaccinated.
They are okay with a room full of fully vaccinated INFECTED people though, because they value a certain level of tribal obedience above all. They don't want the police to arrest thieves, junkies, and gang members, but a dozen cops need to remove a family from a restaurant.
They cheer on a summer of violent riots, but freak out when an unvaccinated 5 year old is breathing next to them.
These aren't 'anti-vaxxers.' They are people who want to be free to eat at a restaurant without sharing medical information with some stranger. They don't want to live in a 'papers please' society.
But ironically, the fully vaxxed urgent cares in NYC and Westchester are closing due to staffing shortages. All of the mandated vaxxed staff are out sick. Hmm. Super duper vaxxed NY metro has the worst Covid numbers!
Maybe call in the filthy 'anti-vaxxers' to help with the staffing shortages?
^^^^Darn! I ran out of rep so I owe you one. Very well said

The woman and child were not charged or even arrested. So compare that to others were arrested for peacefully protesting during the blm protests. Yup just normal law abiding citizens peacefully protesting.
It was a mistake by the police because they were not as prepared or trained (imo) at the onset of the protests. I do believe they learned a lot about how to warn first and then arrest when a person doesn’t comply. Someone in law enforcement must know more than me about how those procedures were fine tuned. My experience is in a few cases and is purely antidotal.
What did you witness or hear about yourself?
As far as I know violent criminals were arrested, charged and convicted, I certainly read about arrests and convictions in the papers but that is just not my crowd so I have nothing to contribute there from a first or second person account.
Were the police told not to arrest fire bombers or looters? I doubt they were in solidarity with the looter and were giving them a free pass?
I will say that the blm violence does not exist today in any way that I see it, so they must have done something right. Maybe an isolated case but no one is screaming blm and firebombing 5th ave. It’s filled with tourists and families.
Tell me what you know to be true that I have gotten wrong or have no knowledge of.
Not what you think, but what you know.
