People move because of work primarily or retirement, places that are high COL are where the jobs are and people want to be making it there. Not everyone wants a rural lifestyle in a state that receives the bulk of their budget on Federal Aid & subsidies all while saying "look we don't tax the hell out of you"

I have seven friends and/or neighbors who moved to red states during the pandemic because they wanted to be free from mandates. It really isn't because of anything else but a desire to live with the freedoms we thought we were born too.


I'm still in a blue state being civilly disobedient because it's the best I can do.
