I don't know if I believe President Biden had good intentions. I doubt if Coumo's intentions were really good except for himself. I do think Trump had mostly good intentions in his response to Covid. I think most politicians have good intentions mixed with some self serving like all of us.

What's that saying?

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions."

...which is where they belong.

I mean, if you’re gonna go this route, you gotta say everyone had good intentions.

Maybe they did. Maybe they didn’t. Maybe they were just totally unprepared and suck at doing things - because it’s the government - do it all got screwed up.

But to claim these dudes had good intentions is also to imply others didn’t…which is friggingstupid as a concept.
All narcissists have good intentions when it comes to looking like profound, and great leaders. All either Cuomo was doing was whatever he felt would make him look good on TV.

I'm still trying to square the illogical claim that downplaying Covid cases by a governor trying to score millions from a book deal is "good intentions".

How is sending Covid infected patients into nursing homes even remotely being construed as having good intentions?

How is sexually harassing women that you work with possibly construed as having good intentions?

You don't do things like that when your intentions are honorable. What a load of cow manure.

Narcissists do terrible things and then play the victim and throw themselves gigantic pity parties - "Loook at all I had to gooo through!!" Puh-lease.

Cuomo and his ilk are not good people.

Jim Gaffigan's quote exemplifies what is wrong with us, all of us. We see politics as a zero sum game. We equate ourselves with various politicians no matter what they say or do. As long as they are on our side, we defend them.

For partisan reasons, Jim does not want to admit that Cuomo was a disaster. Of course, were Andrew on the other side, Jim would be building the gallows himself.

It's scary and we are all guilty.

Surprised Gaffigan didn't include Defund the Police while he as talking about thoughts and causes that had good intentions. Alas, look where we are now after that act of good intention! How's that working out?
