naturally, brandon accepts zero responsibility for his key role in this.

Quote:
Meat industries tore into President Biden for his plan to tackle high prices in the grocery store, saying that it is a 'solution searching for a problem.'

'While we haven't seen any proposals, for the chicken industry, this looks like a solution in search of a problem,' National Chicken Council President Mike Brown said in a statement.

'The chicken industry is the least consolidated in all of animal agriculture, and the market share of the top four companies has been virtually the same for the past 20 years.'

'It's time for The White House to stop playing chicken with our food system and stop using the meat industry as a scapegoat for the significant challenges facing our economy. This administration should be looking at the chicken industry as a model of success, instead of creating a boogeyman to justify an unnecessary and expensive foray into our meat supply.'

Don't be suckered by the "meat industry" lobbyists and their lies. They represent but four companies, not the industry, that have a near monopoly and are using it to lowball ranchers and farmers for hogs, cattle and poultry, eliminate competition by driving out small operations, and run up profits for themselves at the expense of consumers. Biden should be credited for trying to reverse this.

There was a time when Republicans were the party that fought monopolies and encouraged competitive capitalism. Apparently no more.

It's the federal government causing inflation folks.
Over $12 trillion of "created" money was put into the economy by the Fed Reserve.
How many trillions did Congress give out to people/business in the past 2 years....$10-$20 trillion ?
And they plan for $60 billion/month for 2022.

Water down the currency and so the dollar loses value and it takes more dollars now.

An extreme example is Zimbabwae. We are Zimbabwae "lite" right now.

There are GLOBAL shortages and inflation attributed to the pandemic.

Looks like Biden’s words hit a nerve.

No doubt in my mind many of these shortages are contrived by private sector producers to increase profits.

Guess Biden could, by EO, freeze wages and prices as Nixon did in 1970.

Guess Biden could limit or ban exports of certain foods as Trump did for certain crops to China. Then the producers could whine and moan for subsidies as Big Ag did.

How might the National Chicken Council react to this?

Chicken and seafood packers are notorious for employing undocumented people. Occasionally, as in once in a blue moon, ICE will raid one of these places. The undocumented run out the back door. The owners/ operators face no consequences. And the next day, it’s business as usual.

Guess Congress could eliminate the USDA and states could cease inspections. Allow producers and packers operate without pesky bureaucracy.

These are media induced shortages.

Headlines....no meat
Now we got a run on meat and there really is no meat

Headlines...no toilet paper
Headlines...no cream cheese
Headlines...no cat food

The media says jump and people jump, no questions asked.
There was short supply before but once the media tells people there isn't any the shelves become empty due to hoarding.

I have a friend that still has piles of TP packages FROM 2020 in her garage.
She must have spent hundreds of dollars stocking up.

The meat producers are doing the exact same thing the milk people did. Drop the price of the product to cut the small guy off at the knees. Then when you have run them out of business or bought them up, raise the price.

It still ticks me off that in that 1st round of Covid relief that went to businesses hurt by the shut downs, millions and millions went to a Brazilian meat packing company.

You can't blame Jerry's Chicken Ranch for charging more for his eggs and chicken meat, when the price of his chicken feed doubled because the price of equipment and fuel to make that chicken feed doubled because the price of steel and other commodities doubled because the government printed trillions of dollars out of thin and an imposed horrendous regulations on the industries that supply the raw materials for then entire chain right on down to your grocery store.

It's SQUARELY this Biden administration's fault. Guarantee you that if someone with some business savvy was in the White House and all those "advisory" positions, things would be much, much different. Take Trump for instance... pre-pandemic, this nation has rarely seen a better economy. And now, a couple years latter, it SUCKS. What changed? Yeah, yeah, I know... pandemic. BUT, the entire administration also changed. And obviously for the worse.

Great for them. Zero reason to believe Sleepy Joe or take responsibility for so many of his debacles.

What exactly would Trump have done that Biden has not, as it relates to GLOBAL shortages and inflation?
