Wow, even the suggestion of raising rates far into the future causes much of the financial markets to go tank for the day.

Seems like they are helpless and can only print the fiat currency and continue on with their near zero-interest rate policy.

No wonder so much debt, the real interest rates in America are -6.5%, lower than any other large country in the world.

I guess with 63 trillion of domestic non-financial sector debt, they can't raise rates higher than 0.25% even if 6.8% official inflation rate.

So they cant print out more money to pay off previous debt, and just kick the new debt further down the road only to repeat again once future is here?

Oh yeh, that is terrible. Anyone playing this game should just get wiped out not saved.
