There is something I thought about. Catholics in America have an average birth rate of 2.3. Catholics are above replacement levels. Atheists and agnostics have the lowest birth rates of anyone. I suspect it isn't Catholics opting for pets over children.
I don't agree with the Pope on every thing that he says. However, being a Catholic myself, I take this comment very personally.
I think the Pope should find out how much 13 years of private school + 4 years of private university + 2 years of a masters program costs.
Then decide if we're being selfish by forgoing children. Plenty of childless people donate their time and money to help others. Doesn't sound selfish to me....
I never understood how the world's biggest Christian denomination gets so much hate from much smaller and way newer denominations. Are you not all on the same team?
