Hmmmmmmm..... So a violent attack on the USA, on democracy itself, is defensible, here in America in the year 2022, because supporters of the seditious cause claim it wasn't going to succeed?
Tragically and sadly many Americans have fallen prey to deliberate diversionary language that seeks to downplay the violent US Capitol breach. The Trump-GOP, for more than a year now, has been on a campaign to rewrite history that was witnessed live by millions. Their redundant & mendacious twisting of facts and truths---- which we all have seen and heard with our own eyes and ears---have been used to dull and diminish the sting of those facts and truths to the defeated & disgraced former guy's supporters and allies.
It is as disappointing as it is disturbing that Americans have fallen prey to this reprehensible tactic that threatens to destroy our Constitutional Republic and democracy itself.
Contrary to what the above poster lamentably believes, Trump, the loser of the election, in his Jan 6 speech, actually said to the wild, angry massed mob: "If you don't fight like hell, you're not going to have a country anymore." "We will never give up, we will never concede."
Contrary to the distorted scenario the above poster portrays, the traitorous Trump over America adherents were swept out of the Capitol by the police, and other law enforcement troops, who were only able to declare the interior area secure shortly before 6 P.M. Five hours after the attack began the police cleared the Capitol and eventually secured it. The 12 hour curfew was imposed by Muriel Bowser, the mayor of Washington, D.C., during the height of the attack & battle, and it was for the entire District of Columbia--- and this curfew is regularly warped, as above, to give the false impression that the seditious soldiers of Trumpism left peacefully at closing time as opposed to the truth which is they lost their battle and were ousted.
Contrary to the illusion presented above, the timeline of January 6 shows us that Donald Trump did not ask his violent swarming horde to go home when he realized they were criminally and violently attacking the country--- that he was still by oath supposed to be defending. He did nothing in fact for hours and hours as American leaders and American citizens on both sides of the political aisle begged him to call off the siege.
Words matter. Truth matters. Truly disastrous for ALL AMERICANS across this nation is the belief of the calculated lies which have been created and spread in defense of Trump's Big Lie and personal desperation to remain in office despite his loss in a free and fair election.
It was a riot, folks were and are being punished.
And in no way do those words mean to do anything violently. If they did, you’d have “got him”.
Except they indeed left by curfew.
