You often see crazy things in Florida, like the couple I saw zipping up the Gulf Coast’s Route 41 on a motorcycle while the passenger was checking her iPhone, neither one of them wearing a helmet. Be careful, guys, that phone is breakable!

The greatest feeling about Florida is the sheer “Gonna ride this hog wherever it takes me” exuberance. I’ve been down there maybe eight or 10 times during the pandemic and arriving in any airport is like crossing the Wall out of East Berlin. Quite a lot of people wear masks in malls and stores, but most don’t. Nobody mask-shames anybody. You don’t need a vaccine card at all, much less have to dig out your Excelsior Pass three times a day.

This is because Florida accepts the basic truth that should have been Washington’s guidance from Day 1: If you’re vaccinated, the COVID-19 emergency is over for you; if you’re not, well, the risk is yours.

Thank God I moved to Florida in February 2020. Just in time to escape the COVID cultists in Baltimore.

Well, there are plenty of C-D posters who "care." They'll be along shortly to post Florida's COVID numbers while forgetting to mention that cases in NY are higher and there are five times as many hospitalizations in NY. We know who they are.

"like crossing the wall out of East Berlin"......OMG that is priceless.

My cousin is in NYC and I've heard what he goes through every day.

I would not want to live like that and I'm thankful of where I live.

How many are positive now? See the lines for testing? Do you know which strain you have ? One line by Bradenton’s convention center went all around it today. I imagine you think it’s all about you. Like other experts say around the world, until all are vaxed - we will play the Covid musical chair game. BTW. We have “Florina” now.

People standing in line for 3-4 hours to see if they have the virus. Not very sick if they can stand around for that long.

I just drove by the RP Funding Center in Lakeland for the second time in a week and the number of cars lined up for testing were in the hundreds. One week ago the same thing, so people ARE concerned and what is Desantis's response - he wants to cut back on testing because the results that have to be reported are making him look bad.

Where’s the proof that DeSantis said he’s cutting back on tests because it’s making him look bad?

Some employers are requiring negative Covid tests if you aren't vaccinated. The people you see standing in line might be there just because they want to go to work. Let's Go Brandon!
