Louisiana Supreme Court upholds employer vaccine mandate
The Louisiana Supreme Court has upheld a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the state's largest healthcare system

...

NEW ORLEANS -- The Louisiana Supreme Court on Friday unanimously upheld a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for the state’s largest healthcare system.

The ruling was handed down the same day that the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments about the Biden administration’s order for companies with at least 100 employees to require vaccination or testing.

If the SCOTUS rules the opposite of its Baton Rouge counterpart, what then of mandates?

I couldn't find this topic anywhere on C-D btw.

These cases are totally separate because one is STATE and the other one is FEDERAL.

The Louisiana Suoreme Court is not the “counterpart” of the U.S. Supreme Court.

These vax mandates for health care workers lead to infected vaccinated workers going back to work while infected because they fire the un-vaxxed. Is that okay with people?

If so, you are operating on superstition, not logic.

OK, so what happens, if the national supreme court disallows mandates?

To ban any early treatment and force vaccines only - how logical is that?

Not logical at all. Most of the establishment Covid response isn't logical---or humane.

End of subject.
State law can not supersede federal law. That was decided long before the Civil War when South Carolina tried to nullify federal law.

In what way is it not the "counterpart"?

The cases are unrelated. The Louisiana Supreme Court was ruling on whether a healthcare system could, under Louisiana law, mandate vaccines for its workforce.

The U.S. Supreme Court is deciding whether OSHA has the authority to mandate that private employers require that their employees be vaccinated or tested frequently.

The Louisiana Supreme Court is the final say on Louisiana law and the Louisiana Constitution.

The U.S. Supreme Court is the final say on federal law and the U.S. Constitution.

The decision of the Louisiana Supreme Court can not be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. The decision of the U.S. Supreme Court will have no bearing on this decision by the Louisiana Supreme Court.
