COVID positive staff who are improving, mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic do not require isolation but are required to wear N95 masks for up to 10 days of positive symptoms or testing. These measures are supported by the CDC. https://www.abc15.com/news/coronavir...-and-hospitals
What will it be next severely ill allowed to work.
Bet they wish they had some uninfected non=vaccinated to staff right about now.

Bet they don't. There's no way they will admit to being wrong about firing the unvaxxed. We're dirty, selfish, irresponsible grandma-killers. Even if we aren't sick.
This is the right thing, though. This virus is not even a bad cold, and I have had it. Most people who have it don't know, or think they have a minor cold, never mind a flu.
So why should people not get the critical care they need because they are afraid of a largely fraudulent disease? At least let them make some choices for themselves.
For my part, you can give me the doctor or nurse with Covid. No big deal.
As far as you are vaxxed, you can do whatever. Shad, go back to work, you have carte blanche for any stupidity. Be a super spreader. Does not matter. You got Cane's mark on your forehead and doors opened.

Point is that they are showing their hypocrisy that they demand vaccination for Health Care workers but yet no allow symptomatic to work while denying healthy unvaccinated from doing so.
There is no denying that a healthy worker is the better option than the vaccinated but symptomatic worker in their goal that punishes the healthy......and the facilities and patients in return.
Good Lord. Why in the world would you want staff members in a medical facility who didn't believe in medical science? Seems like that should be the baseline.
In any case, unless this was a very unusual hospital, the number of non-vaccinated staff who were let go is generally a very small percentage of the overall staff numbers. Not enough to make much of a difference in the big scheme of things.
What is hurting hospital staffing is the number of staff who have quit to work traveling jobs or quit the medical profession altogether. We have several in our family and every get together they share stories of obnoxious patients who insist they don't have Covid and don't want a test, but are sick and want them to do something about it.
Hallelujah to those who had Covid and it was no big deal, and no long-Covid symptoms. Lucky you.

Arizona doesn't mandate vaccinations for health care workers, it doesn't forbid it but it is up to the medical facility.
If someone thinks that it is better "Medical Science" to allow COVID positive AND symptomatic medical professionals to treat patients, but fire unvaccinated medical professionals who are COVID negative. Then they are probably so far down in the religion of COVID that they have lost all ability for rational thought..
As for the percentage of health care workers fired for not being vaccinated. Consider two things. In a crisis wouldn't "every bit help"? Then think that even though there may be a small percentage of people "fired" for not being vaccinated. Many of the staff that left, did leave for other jobs but did so because they were not going to get vaccinated and left BEFORE they could be fired.
But again if you have COVID negative unvaccinated medical professionals willing to work, regardless of the reasons for the staffing shortage, there is no medical reason they can't work.
Not everyone believes in the vaccine to work narraitive just a few radicals but because of public pressure these radicals get their way. Amazing they would let people with symptomatic covid come into work after all this vaccine mandate hysteria.

I'm not sure if you got your reasoning behind people who don't get vaccinated from Twitter or some other social media group-think place, but it's wildly presumptuous and stupid.
