Yup! Complete crab pot mentality! I see so many of these types here in Seattle. They are lonely, stubborn, highly opinioned, often times dateless, miserable sacks. Misery loves company! I am a comedian by nature and always laughing. I kid you not, I have received glares from these people and it's like "how dare you have fun and laugh in times like these."

Misery is a badge of honor for many a leftist. No thanks, I'll pass!

No, we'd just rather not get sick. There are so many people out sick now with the Omicron variant that some schools in my state have been closed for days. We'd rather keep things open.

But I'm with you on the foolish "woke" culture. Except for a few really disgusting words, I will continue to speak as I always have. I will not call a child "it" either!

Oh, it's 100% real. Horrifying, dishonest and dangerous but real.

I guess "woke" is supposed to be some new insult to "liberals". When it comes down to it, I want to be awake rather than asleep at the wheel.

Wow, that I did not know! Learn something new everyday in this forum. Many liberals are insulted by their own shadow so this doesn't surprise me.

I hadn't heard that but they took away Columbus Day. They took away Plymouth Plantation which is a living museum with the Mayflower and a Pilgrim settlement. It can't be called a plantation anymore. A plantation is a settlement of people, more or less planted there as a colony. That's what Plymouth was. It was a plantation but since it means something else in the South, we aren't supposed to use that word now.

I guess they'll take away Thanksgiving one of these days--white people, you know. Fanatics on each side are crazy.

Men who want to pretend they are women, and women who want to pretend they are men, "competing" in sports against athletes of the opposite (real) sex.

Wokeness has ruined MLK's dream of being judged by the content of your character as opposed to the color of your skin.
