Vermont tried something a few years ago..single payer I think and this was for citizens only and the cost would have been so much per taxpayer and additional sources of revenue that they scrapped the entire thing.
"That’s not all it includes either. If the measure is approved, it will provide for state-funded abortions for illegal immigrants under the state’s Medi-Cal system."
Don't underestimate Newsom, the Conservatives did and that is why we are still stuck with him after the attempted recall.
With everything he has done to the benefit of the Illegal Aliens, it would not be a surprise if this was his main purpose of the bill. He would have no issue making California a "Sanctuary State" for abortions. I have no doubt that he would reject Universal Health Care if it didn't have this provision, but he would gladly take this provision by itself even if it meant he didn't get Universal Health Care.
Pandering for future votes using the tax payer's money to bribe people to keep himself and his party in power.
The balls of these people is stunning to me. Ever since the recall failed it's like he's been emboldened to do more douchebagery not in the interest of the people of the state.
People of CA need to wake up and start paying more attention to what is happening.
The Golden State is considering doubling taxes in an effort to fund universal healthcare for all residents in California. That would increase taxes by $12,250 per household, crushing state taxpayers even more in the name of progressive equity while covering the expenses of those who are not legally in the United States. The move would surely cause another mass exodus from the state.
Huh? What part of your link states the opposite of the one I posted? Newsom has indeed been wanting to implement a Heath Insurance program that would include illegal alien coverage ever since he became governor. What make you think he won't eventually succeed in doing so and why shouldn't we object to it? Prove me wrong!
This is a retread policy. They tried this several years and the yearly cost/increase to tax payers was astronomical. It's an election year so expect a lot of pandering through policy suggestions.
yes it is....but the fact it still plays well says it all
