..considering his track record...and flip flopping.....I do agree with him on this one

It's been 2 years or better....it's so contagious we have to stay 6 ft apart...wear masks...can't eat inside, ride a bus...have a party....entire cities have been locked up....on and on

...I don't see how it's possible everyone hasn't been exposed by now already...I think we all have

anywho....

"Dr. Anthony Fauci proclaimed Tuesday that coronavirus will infect “just about everybody,” despite President Biden’s promise in July that vaccines would prevent infection."

“Just about everybody” regardless of vaccination status will become infected with coronavirus, Fauci told the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions."

"Fauci’s comments come as Biden promised during the summer that “you’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”

"As coronavirus hospitalization reached an all-time high Tuesday, it is not the first time Biden made a promise he could not keep"

It's remarkable it's taken them 2 years to come to this conclusion but I suppose the omicron variant has such a high R Naught value that there's not much they can do at this point.

Thankfully we haven't gone into full lockdown/mask mode in this country, at least not where I live, despite the objections of the reddit lefties, though there is speculation they will bring back the diapers where we work next week, vaccinated or not.

It's pointless to try to stop the spread. Let it spread like wildfire, give the unvaccinated bottom priority for hospital beds, and let nature take it's course.

The vaccines are mostly available everywhere. The data showing you need a booster after 4-6 months is available to the public. People's minds have been made up... now it's time to let this experiment play itself out without unnecessary government interference in the lives of the citizenry.

I could have told him that the day they started importing COVID positive patients, fighting Trump's travel bans, stuffing Covid patients in nursing homes with the most vulnerable members of society, etc. Stupid actions lead to stupid bad outcomes more often than not. Of course, I expect that they knew what was going to happen from the very beginning, but were more concerned about how to use COVID as a political weapon against their rivals.

Nature will take its course, regardless of vaccines, masks, distancing, etc.
The last two years have been proof of that.
Having said this, if Fauci didn't have a medical license and the job he has, he'd be a brilliant used car salesman.

hopefully this will put the argument the vaccine stops you from getting it to rest...but who knows...the definition of "vaccine" seem to be fluid now

They need to focus on treatment. The research should focus on patient survival (vaxxed or not, since we can't keep jabbing every few months), and long covid.

Since the vaccines work, does this mean that they aren't working?

So, we can stop with mask requirements and vaccine mandates, right? After all, everyone is going to get it, so why not let nature take it's course?

That's the funny thing about government overreach... It's easy to prevent it from happening with our constitution and system. But once you let your guard down and it happens, it's quite a difficult task to scale it back or make it stop.
