first keep in mind...everyone that refused to get vaccinated at United were either fired or put on unpaid leave

these are all vaccinated people....over 3000 system wide....and 1/3 of the workforce in just one airport

if you have to fly....plan accordingly

"Three thousand United Airlines employees have called out sick with coronavirus, causing more flight cancellations"

"The surge in illness comes after CEO Scott Kirby instituted a vaccine mandate for all of his U.S. employees. Those who declined to get vaccinated were either fired or obtained an exemption and were subsequently placed on unpaid leave. According to the report, Kirby told employees the airline is “trimming its schedule” in order to deal with the increase in sick calls"

"JetBlue Airways was the first carrier to cut back its January schedule because of a surge in infection rates among crews, which was later followed by Alaska Airlines. American Airlines said it would do the same this week as Covid rates climbed among regional carriers."

"In a Christmas Eve op-ed, co-founder of Airline Employees 4 Health Freedom Sherry Walker noted that more than 2,000 members including 349 pilots who decided against getting vaccinated are “ready to work.”

Nobody wants to talk about that.

The elephant is standing right in the middle of the room and people are acting as if it's not there.

Reportedly, 79% of employees have a sick leave benefit.
Nearly every public and private sector union has negotiated sick leave benefits for their members.

Those who have paid sick leave benefits are more likely to call in sick than those who don’t get paid unless they show for work.

Most employers who offer sick leave benefits have modified policies to accommodate extra time for Covid and in many cases that includes exposure , not just a positive test.

There’s a business case why CDC reduced the recommended isolation/ quarantine period from 10 to 5 days.

The Trump vaccine is reducing the severity of illness thereby reducing the death rate.

Burn out. The airlines gave all the unvaccinated employees the boot and now the Vaxxed employees have to work even harder because they are now chronically short staffed all the time.

All thanks to the Brandon Adiminstration's fear mongering

Trump did not cause Covid.

Trump could not control Covid.

Trump could not cure Covid.

Ditto Biden.

Both viewed the vaccine as one ( well 2 doses in most case) and done. Trump referred to vaccines as miracles and still does.

All vaccines were developed, trialed and approved for emergency use against the original virus.

Then the Delta variant emerged from within the 1.4 billion unvaccinated people in India. Delta is twice as contagious as the original virus. The vaccines was not nearly as effective against Delta as they were the original virus.

We have known since mid summer the efficacy of vaccines begins to wane at the 5-6 month mark.

Then came The Omicron variant that emerged from the 1.2 billion unvaccinated people in Africa. Omicron is twice as contagious as Delta.

Last year’s seasonal flu vaccine is not effective against this year’s dominate influenza strains. That’s why the flu vaccine is reformulated every year. Some years, it’s possible to nail which influenza strains rolling through the Southern Hemisphere will dominate and some years, the viruses surprise with new mutations.

SARS Covid is a different beast.

Seems a tad unreasonable to expect any vaccine to protect against mutations that did not previous exist.
