At least with the people I know. Many have the vaccine and booster and are very sick. Is that your experience?

No. I know six people who are very close to me, who have been infected with COVID in the past week. All say they have a flu-like symptoms with a soar throat, lost sense of smell, and headaches, but their lungs are clear. They feel sick of course, but they are not "very sick."
