Anyone who talks about overthrowing the government and then goes to a riot should get at least 20 years in prison. That would wipe out nearly all of BLM and antifa. Hell, anyone who even talks about overthrowing the government should get 20 years in prison. That is sedition, it is illegal.
The mayor of DC doesn't have the authority to call the national guard because DC is not a state. So her jurisdiction is limited. She can only request them to assist local police. She can't request them to be on federal grounds. And Pelosi isn't in charge of the National Guard either.
Hannity, Jordan, etc. were all appealing to the former President to stop the mob, not the DC mayor, or Pelosi.

Sedition seems to be complicated, what in your expertise tells you a year is too long. How long did the other sedition indictments take.

It's really not, read post 356 and then get back with us, you and cuebald must have conveniently missed that post. Is it because you'd have to be honest? So just don't acknowledge posts you don't agree with.

I think timing may have played a role in announcing the charges, but alas I am sure these charges were well in the pipeline based on the ongoing investigation against members of the Oath Keepers. You don't always get to center of the problem before hand.

Why would anyone have to appeal to our president to stop the attack on our capitol. He should have done it the moment it started.
