The current governor of New York agrees with you, as do most reasonable people. But….. the hospital gets higher reimbursement if it’s listed as Covid.

Necessary first step towards the goal I have been predicting since late summer.
It goes like this...Biden, the Dems and their media cohorts need something hugely positive before November, or they are getting shellacked. They know it. We know it. Aliens from other planets know it.
So...what hugely good news can they come up with? Federalizing elections is simply trying to come up with a framework that let's them cheat. That won't be enough, and it isn't good news. Voting rights are fine, no matter what the Dems bleat and babble about. Plus, their incessant bleating about racism, Jim Crow 2.0, victimization blah blah is bad news.
They can't run with the extended no-payment break on student loans, and they'll never get the 100% loan forgiveness thing passed, because they know it is an atomic bomb to the economy.
So what do they have? Magically curing COVID and claiming themselves saviors of the nation, that's what.
First step, stop presenting all the news cases, hospitalizations, deaths, etc. Totally end bad news about covid.
Next, start slowly pushing out good news. Figure by April/May, they'll start talking about it being beaten, how they cured it, how great the economy is doing, etc.
It is literally all they have, and making up reality out of whole cloth is totally within the Dem wheelhouse because they have 95% of the media in the tank for their propaganda efforts.
