They are a Bureau of Investigations. What they investigate are as follows: Terrorism, Counterintelligence, Cyber Crime, Public Corruption, Civil Rights, Organized Crime, White-Collar Crimes, Violent Crime, and WMD's.
This branches out into many other roles and investigations. For example: Public Corruption. This could mean violations of federal law in federal, state, and local public agencies. It also could be combating corruption at our ports of entry. Prison corruption. Border Corruption. International Corruption. etc.
Their reach into many many areas is vital to the security interests of America and puts a lot of bad people behind bars. Anything else you read here by people trying to politicize the government agency is frankly tin foil hat stuff.
Do you know how bad we would be screwed if we disbanded the FBI?
We’d have one less agency to set up false flags to make it look like “they are on the job” to justify an exorbitant budget. And who would investigate the parents who want to have a say in what their children are taught?

Didn't this group just say white supremacists are a greater threat to America than all of that stuff? I'm not denying that the idea of race based superiority is stupid, but it's not prevalent in our society, and I doubt it's more dangerous than terrorists playing around with bio weapons and nuclear toys.
And of course, your post omits all the glaringly obvious false flags and past misdeeds. The FBI was never run and staffed by saints.

That stuff really got cleaned up after Hoover. Name a false flag that's not a tin foil conspiracy since 1970.
