Hopefully, nobody believed Joe when he said he was going to shut down the virus. It's impossible with something that contagious. His words were just political rhetoric, and nobody with a brain could believe it was anything else. Nor can you blame Trump, but in hindsight, he certainly did a better job: he got the vaccine developed. Even though it's more like a flu shot than a true vaccine, it's saved untold numbers of lives.
Even Xi Jinping and a million of his CCP henchmen can't completely shut down the virus.
Trump didn’t try to impose an illegal vaccine mandate. Trump didn’t try to force masking.
States shut down over covid because it was new and there were still unknowns and that was during Alpha. Now we have omicron which is much more like a cold and Biden still wants businesses to ignore the Supreme Court and impose vaccine mandates.

Trump was faced with an unprecedented pandemic and the Dems were wrong at every turn with their response to it.
Who was in charge? Trump or the Dems. From what I remember Trump said "this is their new hoax" meaning that Democrats were making a big deal out of nothing.
Maybe he didn't mean that and you can tell us what he really meant.
Trump did everything better than Biden. As far as the pandemic, he wouldn’t have added to making the cure worse than the disease like democrats. Mandating, coercing, threatening livelihoods would not have been his policy, and it would have been unlikely that companies would have tried to enforce mandates without support or push by a president to do so.
Americans’ livelihoods would have been protected.
Democrat policies are authoritarian.
Democrat policies leave Americans in the dust.
The Trump era shutdowns and enhanced unemployment, business bailouts, and checks sent out to support were certainly more effective than the current CDC guidance of just generally get your butt back to work.
Biden said he would shut down this virus. He failed, he lied.
