Don’t forget about the criminal investigation being conducted by Alvin Bragg.

Totally typical of governments around the world who punish those evil-doers awful
enough to step out of line and challenge THEIR precious system.

Payback, that is so common amongst humans in power, an intoxicating narcotic.

Moving those two properties into that "catch-all" category was one of those things that raised legal questions. That's why it was discussed in the press release in the first place!
You said "seems to me" not the ag.....

And if it's not legal, then bring the charges....if that much evidence is in plain sight....well, we know how that played out.

Former President Trump declared $916 million in losses on his personal tax return in 1995.

Then he took advantage of the loophole to avoid paying federal income taxes for nearly two decades.

In 2016 and 2017, Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes, according to the Times. In 10 of the previous 15 years, Trump paid no federal income taxes at all. Despite reporting hundreds of millions of dollars in income, Trump effectively erased his tax bill by reporting heavy losses across his business interests.
there you go. yes, he avoided a majority of years, but not all which was your claim.

You may have a sub to the NYT and read it for yourself.

It’s evolved into a criminal investigation.

James herself started a civil one, but is currently working with the Manhattan DA on a criminal one.

Things don’t work that fast in major investigations, and certainly not on the public’s schedule. There are still people being deposed and subpoenaed. Michael Cohen has met with the Grand Jury nearly a dozen times alone.

Some of Tish James’ investigation will be pertinent to Al Bragg’s investigation. The only thing we can be certain of is that no one is asleep at the wheel. You will see indictments if and when there is enough information to support multiple counts and almost 100% certainty that a conviction can be had.
