The President said the “endgame” of Republican state legislatures is “to turn the will of the voters into a mere suggestion—something states can respect or ignore.” Assuring listeners that this is “not hyperbole,” he added, “your vote won’t matter. They’ll just decide what they want and then do it.”

The most basic desire of the Republicans is to secure the elections, to protect our Right to vote and to ensure that only people that are legally allowed to vote get the choice to do so.
Voter ID is so basic but it would do so much to protect the integrity of the vote but the Dems cannot stand the idea because it will force them to find another way to cheat.
It is an election year so of course the Dems are rolling out the old racism band wagon telling all black people that the Republicans are trying to steal their vote.
