They claim that silly and outdated concepts such as the presentation of government-issued photo identification is somehow racist and bigoted and works to make sure that nonwhite people who are American citizens can't vote. This is also why they're pushing for mail-by-vote and have tragically succeeded in some areas. If I'm not mistaken, mail-by-vote is extremely uncommon and subject to rigorous conditions for it to be authorized in certain other advanced countries such as those in western Europe.
This nonsense the left is pushing is just yet another in the now-worn out habit of the left to portray everything as a moral issue and that leftists are somehow moral champions who fight for the weak and the marginalized. The truth is that while everyday Americans who are leftists may perhaps give a damn about those issues, the people in positions of power couldn't care less; whether it's women's rights or illegal aliens or even foreigners who may get killed in wars.... as long as it accomplishes the political left's goals, it's fair game.
The left didn't care when Obama deported 3 million illegal aliens and separated countless families; it's not complaining now as Biden has retained or restarted some of Trump's policies, but the left sure got shrill when Trump was in office (and used cages Obama and Biden built).
The left didn't care about Libyan and Syrian women, children, and seniors getting raped, molested, maimed, blinded, and killed when Obama's foreign policy wreaked havoc on those countries, but Trump sends one missile into Syria and the left cries out that this is proof that Trump was "literally Hitler."
The left didn't care when thousands of white European women were groped and raped (and many of them underage and this is still happening) by "refugees" who were actually young, able-bodied men who invaded Europe, but the left had a collective seizure when Brett Kavanaugh was falsely accused of rape and when the tape about Trump grabbing a woman's vagina went public. The left sure didn't care when old Bill fornicated with a woman young enough to be his daughter while in office, didn't care when Spartacus (the guy from Newark) grabbed women in his younger years, and doesn't care about women being victimized by criminals which bail reform laws such as those in NY and the elimination of arrests for stealing less than $950 or $1,000 (depending where) thanks to Democrat leaders.
Leftists are hypocrites, but the foot soldiers are too blinded by their own religious-like fanatical zeal to their wokeness to see (and the irony is that so many leftists are atheists but their fervor would put a Wahabbist or a devotee of Islamic State to shame). Their leaders, however, are aware of all this - and they don't care. As long as enough people in America are what John Podesta's email described as an "unaware and compliant citizenry," the left's leaders will always have enough gullible and naive and idealistic voters to propel their benighted platforms into reality.
And this is why there is so much nonsense in America today. It'd be funny if there weren't casualties (in the most literal sense of the word) - but there are.

When people stop believing that elections are fair, that the other side is cheating, like for instance letting illegal aliens vote in elections (but of course the honest Democrats would never do that right? ), that is when they stop believing in democracy.
