Unions used to be advocates for workers' rights. Not anymore. Now they're just corrupt political organizations.
I'm not a union advocate and many unions are shrinking where the industry has woken up and improved the workers compensation and conditions such as the newer Auto Plants in the South. But the figures don't lie and the GOP does not relate well when it comes to workers, remember too the Teamsters is AFL-CIO affiliated and that represents all the truck drivers.
If you really want to see a "corrupt political organizations" look at the ones who pay for political ads especially those that make negative, unsupported statements and say all the negative things a candiate would never say themselves...

You mean...like teachers' unions?
If they did something valuable for their members, union membership wouldn't shrink. Instead they rely on states that ban right to work to perpetuate their bloated, corrupt, useless existence. Oh wait...I just described the federal government.

Can't say what ads a Teachers Union may have run, we don't have them. But you still miss the point that if the company runs itself well and the compensation is fair people won't look elsewhere for someone to advocate for them...

You still miss the point that if unions actually did something of value their membership wouldn't be shrinking...
A good reason many parents pull kids out of public schools.
Didn't SCOTUS rule that no one was obligated to pay union dues any more if they didn't agree with the political agenda of their union?
In an interview with EpochTV’s “Crossroads” program, Eric Eggers, vice president of the Government Accountability Institute, which investigated this issue, said the unions have been funneling millions of dollars into political campaigns over the years while simultaneously increasing their political influence.
The report reveals that two of the largest and most powerful U.S. teacher unions; the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA), have been using the COVID-19 pandemic to expand both their influence and planned agenda for radical changes to public schools, including pushing critical race theory and transactivism policies while simultaneously dismantling education standards by abandoning basic skills like math and reading.
Union Dues cannot be used to fund political campaigns or lobbying initiatives.
Union members may make VOLUNTARY contributions to one or more PAC and those donations can used for political donations and lobbying initiatives.
The SCOTUS landmark ruling on Citizens United in 2010 prohibits restricting independent expenditures for political campaigns by corporations, including non- profits, labor unions and other associations.
There are only two types of organizations that pay employees solely and entirely based on seniority and seniority only with no regard to ability or performance - Public Schools and Government.
If you want to know why communism was a failure, just walk into a government building.

In my previous state when a "teacher" gets their Masters they AUTOMATICALLY get a raise WITHOUT showing how much better of a teacher they are.
In most case student GPAs do NOT increase. So why do they get a raise if they have NOT their improved their "teaching"?
