i have read that automation is coming to the third world faster and will eliminate these "sweat shops" so capitalism will overcome...in the long run and then the extremely wealthy will be cased with choices
Congratulations! Your conscience has been killing children by the millions!
The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
Same can be said about you, promoting the usage of child's labor by the corporations.
As in "why not? They are readily available and their labor is cheap, why not to take advantage of them?"
This ( in normal people's mind) is not SOLVING but CONTRIBUTING to the problem.
They tend to hide, evade investigations, outsource their dirty work to foreign no-name companies (then blame them when they get caught), and not tell anybody. https://www.theguardian.com/global-d...-lawsuit-in-us
But they said nice things speaking out against child labor and committed to fight the problem they benefited from. Maybe I should believe them?
Come on, man. You don't start a thread challenging the notion that child labor in developing countries isn't bad because it puts food on the table, then turn around and challenge its very existence. Unless these child laborers are all independent contractors?
You don’t run the business but you have the audacity to tell others what a fair wage corporations must pay!
It’s just grotesque!
Please also use the bold font feature when implementing excessive exclamation points in your inane replies - it adds to the emphasis of your textual lunacy.
Mixed bag since income from child workers helps to feed families. If the conditions are safe then I don't see it as a problem as long as it's not forced labor. Kids grow up working on their family farms
lifeexplorer, you just want cheap labor to crush domestic production in the US because you are one of those globalist libertarians.
Like most libertarians and conservatives, America is just a bank, not a society. All you see in America is a job opportunity. The problem is that when war comes to our shores (internal or external) people like you will leave at the first sign of trouble and allow it to collapse.
That is why America cannot last long, the people don't believe in it. Once it stops pumping $$ for them they'll drop it like a dead cow.

You are completely in conflict with the basic rules of economics.

Agreed. Unfortunately in many cases, they just can’t afford better safety. The value of human beings is also different. For example, if Americans kill an afghan, the family of the deceased receives $1000 - $10000.
