He was sick since last Friday and tested positive Sunday. It was pretty much a bad cold and felt better each day. He called the dr today to get a PCR test and they told him no. He needs monoclonal antibodies or another treatment since he has high blood pressure (he takes meds for) he is high risk for heart attack, blood clots etc. I thought monoclonal antibodies was so you don’t get worse? He was working pretty much the whole time and didn’t have much of a cough. The dr said you aren’t out of the woods for a few weeks.

I have never heard of a doctor saying anything like that. Try another doctor.

Monoclonal antibodies are for early treatment.
Why did the Doctor delay this treatment especially as he has deemed it necessary is the question.

It wasn’t delayed. They didn’t know he had it. He was sick with cold like symptoms and tested positive. Stayed home and worked. Needs a PCR test to go back to his office and called his dr for it.

Yes, but you said he tested positive on Sunday and now it is Friday already.

You asked why the dr delayed his treatment. It wasn’t delayed since she didn’t know he had it until today when he messaged them about getting a PCR test to go back to work. She said no and he needed to do treatments first. Told him there are a few options. Didn’t know there were.

He doesn’t need to get it from his doctor. No prescription necessary. Look online for an appointment or a walk in facility.
It’s like asking the doctor for a pregnancy test.
