I was a working man with three children and the sole support of my household when Reagan was president. He hurt everyone who worked for a living to further line the pockets of the already filthy rich.

I wish him no ill will. If I could, I would send him a fan.

Truly I don't think it is fair to land the mess on the doorstep of one person. Having said that, if I absolutely had to nominate someone it would be Newt Gingrich because, from my perspective/age, etc., he was the first where it became very transparent that he was about the political game more than policy. From my simple quixotic perspective I have greater respect and hope when people are at least focused on policy rather than winning the "game" and for me Gingrich was the one who first really focused so much on winning for the sake of partisan winning rather than standing up for principles.

Reagan made some of the biggest impacts of union busting, massively cut taxes on the wealthy making it easier for them to buy all of congress . He put Rehnquist in power who stole the presidency for Bush 43 who placed Robert’s in the court and made corporations people and did further union busting.

You could blame any of those guys for the current path we are on but to me Reagan launched it.

Maybe Rush Limbaugh for his Brave New World like conditioning of most of rural America.

Lyndon B. Johnson, obviously. Single handedly created an underclass of impoverished, entitled welfare recipients and opened the flood gates to mass third world migration

Yes. As much as I enjoyed listening to Rush, just for the sheer power of his entertainment genius, and the side stories he would tell, the man was a force for destruction. As much as he loved America, he might have started the ball rolling for our ultimate destruction by enraging and misinforming the future trump followers of the erroneous road ahead for them. Without Limbaugh, trump would have never been elected.

Yeah, its actually shocking how much conservatives in America hate conservative values.

They listen to guys like Rush Limbaugh who tell them deregulating the financial market and letting Blackrock liquidate firms for more efficient service sector businesses is about "FREEDOM!".

They screwed up America and they don't even care, they just blame commies or something for too much government.

Columbus, if I must pick one person. This was a nice place before the Europeans arrived. But without him they would have still crossed the ocean and conquered the continent. The fall of America is the standard end of an empire.
