Big Brother was a corporation.

In Australia, Members of Parliament will self-censor so that their speeches won't be banned from BigTech platforms reducing their reach.

This isn't just "words" but also ideas that are getting censored. Some of those ideas that they censored were deemed incorrect at the time, but wound up being 100% accurate.

BigTech is acting as an authoritarian overlord to censor for the left.

Ever notice how when progressives adopt a new standard the old standard is almost wiped from existence? Like when the redskins changed their name, there's an unwritten rule you are not allowed to mention the old name ever again. Whatever policy they decide to adopt is expected to become the new normal and their base must fall in line and of course that changes on a daily basis because they are all so hyper emotional about everything.

Thought crimes are definite part of 2020's culture. You have to read the progressive handbook and see what the latest new thing they will cancel you for saying just to be safe.
