You're just here to nitpick me to death instead of accepting that in order to speak you have to speak in generalities. We speak of the Russians in generalities. The Chinese in generalities. If I said "Russians are more conservative than Americans", it don't mean every Russian is more conservative than every American. If I say blacks are faster sprinters than whites. I don't mean every black person is a faster sprinter than every white person.

I know you feel personally attacked because you're a boomer, but that doesn't change the fact that boomers are to blame for almost everything they complain about. Not all of them, but the majority, if not the vast majority.

Enforce what? The draft?

Germany, Japan, Russia, China, Iraq, Vietnam? None of those have ever threatened America, or Americans nor our institutions or way of life..

No American you know has ever been callled upon to defend America from external threat.
This fight is internal and has nothing to do with foreign countries. It's liberals on our own soil that are destroying our country. No one has suggested killing anyone on our soil. A fight doesn't have to be a physical one.

You seem to ignore the large numbers of alt-right that are destroying the country.

It's the polarization that is doing it's job. It's time that sane thinking people, Democrats and Republicans (the RINOs if you will), got back to doing what actually made the USA work.

We don't need the crazies on either side to continue to drive agendas. That's not what worked in the past, and it won't work now. Quit the damn tribalism, and start agreeing on what the problems are. Then let the voters decide if the Democrats or GOP vision of how to solve the problems is more palatable.

Yes and the hawks wanted World War III but Kennedy back channeled with Khrushchev to solve it without bloodshed.

To enforce "fighting for America".
Generalizations are a lazy man's substitute for reasoning.
It's no different than racism or ageism or anti-pick-any-group. It's a worthless judgement.

Some will fight for America. Some will use the possibility of a collapse to fight against America, to carve out their own states.

Well I agree but the problem is there needs to be some solid foundation that all agree with and want, it use to be the constitution and bill of rights even when sides argued over the particulars, these days there are more and more who want to move away from the constitution and go toward a socialist democracy and it is the left who are pushing it, and there will never be common ground on that...ever and it will never be accepted by by many...ever

This why CRT is under scrutiny now, even if the left now tries to say it doesn't exist yes it goes, and CRT is teaching our youth that the U.S.A is a irredeemable flawed country and the more that is taught the more divided the country will become but now it is exposed and people are fighting back against it.

I'm mentioned red vs blue earlier in a long post but many areas are purple, get outside of NYC and cities and things turn purple to red fast.

I disagree the breakup of the country would be a good thing as some have said, all people would have a diminished life standards and more freedom wouldn't be guaranteed after said and done, the U.S dollar would end being the dominant currency, the U.S would become nothing on the world stage and that would have huge implications across the world. And again there are no real borders defining blue and red, blue is contained mostly to urban areas with maybe a couple states being mostly blue, how are you gonna break up a country like that?

The best thing is to vote and contain the leftists while it can still be done, vote them out of office and out of education. Or otherwise wind up like California where they are a one party state and they do WHATEVER they want.

If the right ever went ultra right I'd say the same thing, some of say they have already but no they have not.

It would be the end of my social and career life if this account were ever connected to me. I usually have a shared username on my other accounts but I make a special exception on CD.

I take special care not to cross reference myself here to anywhere else online. This place is for total anonymity. I had a nightmare once that someone here used my real name. Thank god that wasn't real.

So some people pretend they and their views in here are different than in real life? Why would someone do that? Be true to yourself and be proud of your views if you think they should be a source of pride that is. How is one not a true American if their families are? Huh?

Do you talk about your political opinions with friends and family? If yes, good for you.

Not all of us are the same.
