From the hearing testimony the Capitol police were majorly inept in their intelligence regarding 1-6.
And it is clear that some Capitol employees or elected were privy to what some would be doing that day,
How so?
The Capitol Police Chief, Sund, reported to the House and Senate security officials. House Sergeant at Arms Paul Irving and Senate Sergeant at Arms Michael Stenger. Irving reported to Pelosi and Stenger reported to McConnell. That is the chain of command in the Capitol. Pelosi is the top banana in the Capitol building.
Sund, through his investigations, figured there would be violence on that day. A couple of days before Jan 6, he informed Irving and Stenger and requested the NG. Both Irving and Stenger told Sund they would "run it up the chain", meaning inform Pelosi and McConnell.
Eventually, after many repeated request attempts to bring in the NG over several days, Irving told him no, that the "optics" would look bad (which sounds like something Pelosi would say). Stenger said no but that Sund should make an informal request to Sund's NG contacts and ask them to "lean forward" and to be on alert.
Like I said, Pelosi is the top banana and she is ultimately responsible for everything that goes on in the Capitol building, including overseeing the Capitol cops, the security of the building, and the safety and welfare of the people in the building.
Republicans should put together a committee and investigate her actions on that day and the days prior.
If Pelosi has nothing to hide then she should welcome the investigation and the chance to give her testimony, right?
If Pelosi has nothing to hide then she should release all of the videos and other information about that day to the public, right?
I wonder how many rank-and-file Capitol Police officers asked where the judges' warrants were for this surveillance (technically a search).... and refused to do it when they were told there weren't any warrants?

"Asked", "refused"? Probably none, though they likely thought about those things. Just like many/all probably know the truth about what happened that day. They are keeping a low profile, they know the dems are using them and would quickly turn on any one of them if they make waves.
What I find most scary about the investigation into the Jan 6th incident, is how aggressive the FBI is pursuing those involved! I saw a huge billboard on the expressway not long ago, the FBI asking for tips on finding those involved.
This is really scary, because its the FBI, taking political sides and using their power to target the opposite party!
Ultimately this is too much of a conflict of interest for the FBI.
Recall obama's usag, eric holder. falsified a warrant and judge shopped to spy on journalists. This crime set the precedent for the DOJ agencies to falsify documents to spy on political opponents. where you think Pelosi and the capitol police got the idea??

No, they're using their powers to bring criminals to justice. You saw the riots, do you think those involved in desecrating our nations Capitol and obstructing the peaceful transition of power should get away scott-free?
