Ketanji Brown Jackson is the leading candidate, she's highly qualified, and was voted to the Wash DC appellate court on a 53-44 vote, with Sinema, Manchin, Collins, Murkowski and Graham (LOL) voting to affirm.

Sorry McConnell, you're not stopping this one. Elections have consequences.

She will forever be referred to as the "affirmative action justice".

Even if we take your word for it, she’ll always be an affirmative action pic.

Beat me to it one post up

Even though black people are represented already on SCOTUS.

Where is the Asian American justice?
My guess is that Republicans are already planning on how to delay this almost three years. In their mind it's their right, we've seen this play out in the past.

Hopefully the Dems will stand up this time. They can't get their stolen seat back, but they can prevent another from going.

Obama has a JD from Harvard and was a law professor for over a decade. If he gets nominated, every Dem would likely vote for him, likely including Manchin and Sinema.

Already you are ready to blame Dem failure on Republicans.
There are 51 Democrat votes.

If all Dems plus Kamala vote for the nominee, then the selection is made. It would not be the Republican's fault if the nomination fails to pass. It would be a Dem failure.

Default Biden the Segregationalist and Racist

When Biden was campaigning he announced he would appoint a "black woman" as his VP, now he makes it clear he will appoint "a Black woman" to the Supreme Court. How is THAT not racist?

McConnell has no say-so in the scheduling of hearings. I don't know why there's so many Dems on here showing their ignorance by talk of him holding up a nomination.

If one cares, they can watch the nomination hearing she was part (multiple nominees) of here

Yes, I think Harris is idle speculation with no probability of happening. Ketanji Brown Jackson seems to be the early frontrunner.
