I don't care what source material they use to teach of that era as long as it gets taught and as long as they don't teach some holocaust denial bullcrap or some twisted partisan attempt to tie the Trump family in to it somehow.

I don’t think the Trumps were involved. Preston Bush was a banker who helped finance the Nazis, though.
If I live to be 1,000 years old, I will never understand the mentality that feels joy when art is banned. I mean I literally cannot get my brain to comprehend it.
This action puts this school board among the company of the Nazi's who banned or burnt the works of Thomas Mann, Ernest Hemingway, Erich Maria Remarque, Jack London, Theodore Dreiser, and Helen Keller.
"Also among those works burned were the writings of beloved nineteenth-century German Jewish poet Heinrich Heine, who wrote in his 1820–1821 play Almansor the famous admonition, “Dort, wo man Bücher verbrennt, verbrennt man am Ende auch Menschen": "Where they burn books, they will also ultimately burn people.""
The Soviets also joined this group of book banners by banning Animal Farm by George Orwell, Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, and Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak.
The best part about this book being banned is that demand has gone through the roof. Online booksellers are out or getting there, libraries have long waiting lists, and used copies have doubled in a couple of days. This is going to have an impact, but exactly opposite what the Tennessee Nazis intended.
And yes, I used "Nazis" intentionally. Nazis ban books. Americans don't.
So maybe they were upset ‘cause the book doesn’t give the Nazi side of the Holocaust.
