Not a big surprise. The country is full of bridges in danger of collapse. As someone has already pointed out, it has been deemed more important to spend money on things like fancier weaponry.

Congress recently approved a supposed "real" infrastructure bill that is close to 2 Trillion (along with other bloated stuff in it).
