I am listening to his tune "Don't Tell Me How To Live" right now ... it's great... I"m not posting it here - too much profanity, and someone on the left would probably try to cancel me if I did.
Part of it is also a business decision. A concert held in a vaccine mandated area means that a lot of fans would not be able to attend. Genres like classic rock, country, Southern rock, or Christian music have large numbers of fans who are not vaccinated. If I was a famous singer I would do exactly what Kid Rock did. I live in Louisiana and more than half of my friends and relatives are not vaccinated and would not be able to attend a concert in New Orleans, the only place in our state with mandates. So an unvaccinated fan will either not buy tickets, or will give up a ticket they already had if the mandates are announced later.
I've noticed several artists are now choosing to schedule shows in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Biloxi over New Orleans now, we suspect for this reason. I was at the Scotty McCreery concert in Baton Rouge last month and met many people from the New Orleans area who say they now go to Baton Rouge or Biloxi for concerts because they're not vaccinated and would not be allowed into a venue in New Orleans. If you hold a concert in a place with no mandates, people who are vaccinated can still go.
