Just remember, if you can't afford the time, don't do the crime.
Just don't use a fake to fly. Restaurants and other venues are going to be like showing your ID at the store. They have no idea where to look, just see the ID and sell you the alcohol. The venues, stores, restaurants aren't going to call the cops and have you arrested. They'll just ask you to leave if they figure it out...which they won't.

That's a really good point. Don't use fraudulent documents to get on a plane.
Forgery is a crime in all 50 states. Depending on the state it could be time in county lockup, a fine or both.
Yep, I can see the lefties releasing the felons in prisons and filling it up with those that faked their vaccine cards. That sounds about right. On par with their crazy.
“Making or possessing fake COVID-19 vaccination cards are serious crimes. We are taking this issue very seriously due to the tremendous risk presented by these false documents,” said State Police Superintendent Kevin P. Bruen. “Anyone found to be involved with forged vaccine cards will be charged and face the legal consequences.”
Forging federal government seals, such as that of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found on official vaccination cards, is illegal, with violations ranging from a fine of up to $5,000 or up to five years imprisonment.
If you're talking about VaxPass: In order to access their vaccination records via the portal, Illinois residents have to go through a verification process through Experian.
It's it worth to mess up your credit report?

Security has been updated:
Illinois health officials have announced that the IDPH’s “Vax Verify” immunization portal now includes the SMART Health Card, which allows users to download a QR code that will enable them to confirm their vaccination status at businesses and venues that require it.
BTW:
Is it a HIPAA Violation to Ask about COVID Vaccines?
No. Any organization can ask any employee, customer, or relevant third party whether or not they have been vaccinated against COVID-19 without violating HIPAA.
Vax cards are useful because those that are vaccinated can’t get infected and spread Covid. And this is a way to separate the vaccinated from the unvaccinated and stop the spread.
Of course, if the vaccinated routinely get infected and spread Covid those cards are useless.
If it is a "medical record", it should be protected by HIPAA.
What makes you think it isn't protected by HIPAA?
