In an event of war with China or Russia, the Department of Defense will not have choice but to have Congress to approve the activation of the Selective Services to start the process of a draft. Since now that men can be women and women can be men, all human beings between the age of 18 to 35 should be eligible for forced military service in a national emergency. AND!! This time around, the burden of combat service shouldn’t fall an the shoulders of Black, Brown and poor Whites, who couldn’t get into college or are able to get a medical specialist to say they have flat feet or whatever.
As for overweight draftees, that’s not a problem. The Army and Marines can fix this issue within 30 days or simply ship them off to the front and let the “natural selection” run its course.
Being a retired Army Senior NCO, who has fought in two wars with 30 years in uniform, and a few months away from my 60th birthday, I am basically done, like most vets from the 1980s and up to 2000s, we’re drying up fast. Now that our manpower pool of patriotic volunteers is drying up, as equally fast for military service, more unpopular solutions need to be looked at, in the event of a major war with a true military power.
You could have Chinese troops pouring out of container ships at the port of Long Beach on national TV and your average young person would only be upset that Tik Tok is down. You'd have to run press gangs and take people off the street, because they ain't responding to no draft card.
Biden & DC are pushing for war. Will they enforce the draft again for those 18-35 ? We are greatly outnumbered by ground forces of other countries.
Wonder if those that voted for Biden thought they might have to give their life, or the life of a family member, for him and his administration.
Not this garbage again...heard it all through the 90s as well...democrats are going to reinstitute the draft...democrats are pushing for the draft.....thought cape cod tod or our other russkie friends would start this rumor again.,..
Anyone who thinks this a draft is impossible or improbable needs to do some research. This is an active topic in DC - especially the inclusion of women into selective service (whatever a woman is). There are hundreds of articles and websites on the subject as well as organizations trying to keep women out of getting drafted when the time comes. Traditional warfare is where the money is and the neocons and Dems are pushing for war. It accomplishes many things for governments at the expense, and lives, of it's citizens.

You ought to know that a war with China or Russia will be "come as you are." It would be fast, intense, high-tech, and might go nuke early. There would not be the year or more necessary to initiate a draft and get the first draftee to the battlefield.

You aren't some researcher because you read the internet like everyone else, and you don't have some deeper understanding of a subject because you believe certain things that others don't, and telling others they are brainwashed is usually the sign of someone who can't prove their point.

This isn't fear mongering. The only fear mongering going on is the climate extremists pushing junk science to further control the population. A draft is possible and getting more probable. Nothing you say can change that even though you want to deny reality. They don't call it the "Military Industrial Complex" for nothing...
