She was technically wrong, but we all understand that she's speaking from the perspective of how we see Jewish people today in America: pretty much as White as White gets, and any discrimination they were subjected to in this country is miniscule compared to what Blacks have endured.
The Holocaust was about racism but not the American brand and none of our business anyway. I can't imagine a German receiving backlash for saying slavery wasn't about race

You (and Whoopi) are generally right from our (US) perspective. The Nazis had a different (and wrong) perspective on race. Some Americans have unwittingly followed their lead.
Some Jews are POC since they have migrated to a number of places around the world and there have been converts. Sammy Davis Jr. was Jewish as a convert. There are black Jews in Africa and the Kaifeng Jews live in China. There are Cochin (Malabar) Jews in India. The Nazis were concerned mostly with European Jews. They targeted a variety of groups but Jews were the primary target.

This is the woke liberal narrative that "whites" have never experienced discrimination or oppression, which is wrong. They have.
Race is a genetic construct, not a social construct, and many whites, whether it were Jews and Slavs, or European immigrants in America, have faced countless discrimination.
The Nazis saw themselves as the superior race, and looked down on the Slavs and Jews as inferior.
Anyone can do that. African Americans can believe we're superiors to Africa immigrants. But we're both still black. A social construct does not override a genetic construct.

None of those goobers on the View have read Hitler's rabid writings. He considered Jewish people to be a different race, and convinced others of the same.
Hitler's hatred of Jews had nothing to do with race. Even if the Jews were Aryans, physically indistinguishable from Germans, he still would have hated them.
