I'm more concerned about the other idiot, Joy Bahar, for blaming the holocaust on all white people. She claims "they (white people) want to ban the books because history makes white people look bad." How dare she blame all white people for what the Nazi did. Why isn't the white race ripping HER to shreds, rather than Whoopie?
Just because there are bad white people on our planet, doesn't mean all white people are bad. The same goes for every other skin color on this earth.
Whoopi Goldberg was actually correct. The holocaust had nothing to do with race. The Germans allied with other races, including the Japanese. Hitler believed the Italians, Spanish, and French were all a different race. As well as the Hungarians and Finns(both don't even speak an Indo-European language).
The Germans allied with the Japanese on the world front, but in Germany, Hitler's own country, he and the Nazi party targeted Jews in the Holocaust. They also targeted other members like gay people, but nonetheless, the targeting of Jews in the Holocaust was about race.

Even though they aren’t “people of color”, they are part of a religious and ethnic minority which is why they were targeted and murdered by Nazi White Supremacists.
In the context of Whoopi’s comment, as person who frequently speaks in favor of social justice on her show, she should know better.
This will be another example of when a liberal isn't canceled for something a conservative would be.
She was cancelled once, for several years, for a joke about President Bush, for something that would likely be viewed in today's lens as small potatoes. However given ABC's preferential treatment to black women in media reflective of current times, she probably now would not be cancelled even though her comments about Jews in the Holocaust are hurtful and ignorant.
Jews are a Caucasian ethnic group, not a race.
