"So there's all sorts of things that [children] will, you might think, ‘well, maybe there's something distinct about sex and they can't really understand it.’ It's not clear to me that what they're not getting at is consent."

We are being 'desensitized' to this very thing today! Why is it a big shocker when someone comes out in favor of it?
I think what really made this a big shocker, was the mention of one year olds, (not many people out there would suggest an adult with a one yr old is anything close to normal), but a growing number of people dont see any problems with an adult being with a teenager.
