News reports in Florida that 3rd party groups working for the Republican party went around to elderly people and got them to change their party from Democrat to Republican.

if they were so easily confused about changing party affiliation, then how am I to know that they aren't confused now?

Also, to what point? What would the real world gain of this be?

The state is a closed primary state these democrats can't vote in their own primary.

If they're so easily confused they probably don't vote in the primaries anyway.

People who are that confused shouldn't even be allowed to vote.
I'm ok with a age cutoff for voting.

Voting should ONLY be allowed for mentally competent people who can prove financial independence, and are between the ages of 25 and 70.

Interesting, meanwhile I have heard of democrats intentionally changing party affiliation in order to sabotage republican primaries (like actually seen people on social media ask their followers to do this).

Wouldn't it be great if people had ethics?

Ok, I've seen screwy political tactics in Chicago over the years so um, you realize that it may be Democrats that did this because they're trying to beat a rival that has better voting numbers from older voters?

This would be only impactful on a local basis like mayoral or alderman level type stuff.

P.S. I remember Jesse Jackson Jr. running for congress back in the day and his rivals found a homeless guy with the same name and had him put on the ballot in order to confuse voters. Eventually they removed the guy before the election but it was a funny example of how in heavily R or D areas the dirty tricks in primaries (where the race is essentially decided) can be worse than in R vs. D elections

I changed my address. Did not op to do anything with my voters card at that time, I later received a voters card with the Republican Party. I was like, what the h*** ? Anyhow I changed it, but wondered how often that happens.

Oh, did Democrats finally discover senior citizens? About time.

Sad that the only time they're interested in the sanctity of the senior vote is when they think they can weaponize it to their advantage.

They don't seem to care when Democrat activists are completing and harvesting ballots from those seniors without any supervision.

They NEVER court them during election cycles, except to pump fear into them for one reason or another (anyone remember "push grandma off a cliff"?)

And the saddest part? They think that seniors are dumb enough to fall for their crap. Or maybe they don't, and they only expect their easily manipulated younger viewers will believe it, who will then go around the internet making threads about how awful Republicans are.

Seriously, y'all really need to start working on recognizing when you're being bullsnotted, especially when it's coming from your own side. That goes for everyone - I see plenty of the same from the right on here (although not nearly as much).
