A bipartisan group of lawmakers held a moment of silence for the 900,000 people in the U.S. who died from COVID-19 complications.

Led by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the lawmakers stood at the steps of the Capitol on Monday night.

They were surrounded by a choir that sang "God Bless America."

More like a Satanic ritual where they thank the dark prince for gifting their favorite political weapon/tool/CCP bioweapon. Den of vipers, almost all of them. Does anyone really believe God would open the pearly gates for Pelosi (like those DNC operatives who held the doors open on Jan 6th )?

Plus the toll taken on millions of children and pitting people against each other and the loss of some basic freedoms..

Two years ago, I never thought it would come to this -- that the government would try to censor differences of opinion.

You brought up something I thought of this morning.

Being born in 1953, I grew up with the "Communist threat" being preached even in the fifth grade or so -- and about how lucky we were to grow up in a country that guaranteed freedom to all its citizens.

But now it seems that those freedoms are being threatened by our own government.

So why should I fear the U.S. being taken over by some foreign country that will put an end to many of our basic freedoms when the current administration is apparently doing what it can to achieve that exact same thing?

I am at the point now where I feel that there would be little difference whether freedom is lost to the actions of our own government or due to some other government "taking over".
